We turned a second fiddle, injury-prone high priced star into, wait for it...
The 2nd overall pick in the 2016 draft
The 2nd overall pick in the 2017 draft
The first overall pick in the 2019 draft
The 4th overall pick in the 2019 draft
Lakers 2021 first rd pick
Lakers 2024 first rd pick
and Josh Hart.
Let David Griffin do his work from here. This is the direction our franchise has needed from the very beginning. We just completely took control of the Lakers future.

Regardless of where those players were picked in those drafts, we have to get value out if them, if that is by trade or play, we need to maximize them.

I guess it could be argued that Davis’ trade demand shenanigans prompted limiting his playing time and essentially conceding the season — thus making us a lottery and paving the way for us winning that lottery.

No they would have finished better and it would be like 11-13 and maybe we don’t get Zion. This is the only universe( 1 in 14 million)

I like the picks but I’m less than thrilled about the players.
