Who says the Knicks or Lakers can necessarily give him that either?

Durant’s hurt right now and if it comes out that this is something requiring surgery, he likely opts in with Golden State.

Kawhi may not leave Toronto.

Kyrie may not leave Boston.

Etc.

I don't either. I don't think that AD wants to stay. I'm only saying that the Fletch story/nonstory is meaningless, because if AD were considering the option to stay, he and his camp wouldn't say so until the meeting with Griffin.

It's like the old paradox where the guy tells you "I only tell the truth," and of course that's what he'd say if he's a liar.

My question is how would he know? They haven't met yet worth the team and I can't imagine Fletch is calling up Klutch to get the lowdown

If AD wasn’t the beta that he is, of course we would all want him back. The problem is, indications are that he isn’t interested in leading AND winning as the leader and face of the team. He’d rather be LeQuit’s beta, riding in the backseat for glory, but letting LeQuit get all the credit for being the leader of the Lakers, while AD is the one putting in more work within game stats. AD’s numbers would immediately drop trying to play with Lebron.
