There's no 'risk' in Tatum. It's a matter of how you value him versus an actual established all-star player.

I think Tatum will be excellent for multiple reasons, but I’d be hard pressed to find someone choose Tatum over Beal in a vacuum
However in this situation, “what is your timeline” and “what are your goals this season” are 2 questions that can change who the teams values more
