I don't like Alvin Gentry as much as the next fan but I personally don't think he's the blame for this 2 game losing streak with Zion. Brandon Ingram is playing his worst basketball right now. 6-20 against the Spurs and going 1-4 at the free throw line in a close game. Jrue holiday has been bad these last 2 games. On a 3 on 1 break with Zion trailing, he gives it to Etwan who turns it over at a crucial point in the game, that's not coaching. 3 pels underneath the basket for a rebound that everybody watch while Lamarcus Aldridge grabs it for a put back isn't coaching. This 2 game losing streak is on the players. If everyone on the team played with the same energy and effort as Zion and Josh Hart, these two games would look a lot different. Careless turnovers, rebounding, and free throws are all things you can't blame on coaching.

They’re all figuring out what to do with Zion in the lineup, players and coaches alike, it seems to me. I suspect it will take some time.

a rebuild is not 5 years.
Thats a disaster because ingram can leave before that.
Use picks and trades wisely.
Compete for championship 2021-2022 season.
Zion will run off if 4 years from now rebuilding still.
