E'Twaun Moore needs to shoot more 3's

We're living in a 3 ball league and have the Anthony Davis on our roster. E'Twaun is our best 3 ball shooter and is averaging 3.4 3 attempts a game. IMO this number needs to be close to double. Closer to 6 a game. Spread the court more. Conversely, Jrue is taking over 5 3's a game at a horrible rate. Jrue only plays about 6 more minutes a game so court time doesn't fully explain that difference.
E'Twaun shoots the 3 at a better % than harden (who shoots 12 3's a game) and Moore has the advantage of being on the court with AD. We haven't even had Niko in a while and Niko is usually our higher volume 3% shooter.
Moore is averaging .427 at the 3 this year, last year he averaged .425 so his numbers this year isn't a fluke thus far.

His averages are that high because of how many shots he passes up. He has a long gather and release. It’s why it’s so easy to close out on him and chase him off the line or make him pass. He doesn’t have the mechanics to shoot 6 a game like Reddick. If Moore took the same shots as Harden with the same attention, his averages would be a LOT lower.

Agreed, also Darius needs to shoot more as well, he's still too timid from deep.

Does he have that much slower of a release than Eric Gordon who shoots 8 plus a game? I'm just not buying that completely as to why he needs to stay in the 3 attempt range. He's a good 3 pt shooter. Jrue has no business taking 5 plus a game. AD should command enough attention inside as well as Jrue driving to the rim that should give Moore enough opportunities for more.

You can't just force yourself to shoot more threes. You have to be able to get it off. He can't create space off the dribble or even shoot off the dribble. So his lone opportunity is to have somebody else create a lock for him and for him to have enough time to get his shot off. And when the other team isn't worried about other shooters, they tend to leave you less. Also, when they know that running you off the line will often result in a clumsy turnover from you as you drive into traffic, you get less looks that way too.
The guys who have high volumes of 3 point attempts can create their shot, shoot it off the dribble, and our rise up over a guy to take the shot. Moore can do none of those

Sorry, its sounds smart and stuff on paper but when the Rockets can get Eric Gordon 8 3's a game and We can't get Moore 5 3's a game... I'm just not buying the thought that it can't get done.
Sometimes life is as simple as a coach making it a priority to say "Jrue, quit shooting that shite. E'Twaun be more aggressive behind the 3 line with your shots."

The Rockets have the floor wide open and have one of the best creators ever getting those guys shots. Plus Gordon can actually dribble/score off the dribble. Guys like Moore and Miller are ten times easier to defend. Next time you see one of them passing up an open look, let me know. Because its rare. They don't take more because they can't get more looks because of how limited they are
