Positive angle:
He did just start practicing Sunday. Probably don't want to risk having any sort of setback that would make him out even longer. Maybe just playing it extra careful. It is only Game 1 of a 4 year contract.

Maybe in LA. Sometimes it's not about skills and athleticism. But this is a stupid argument. I would rather Granger, you'd rather Gordon. That much is clear

Are the bones in his knee made of porcelain? Dude is so brittle.

We'd rather the better player and younger.

I think its all an excuse to give him some more rest to really get it in. He may miss the first week of games or something like that and then come and play. That's just me.

This is where I'm at as well. The guy missed the entire preseason. You can't just throw him in there for 30 minutes - that would further the risk of injury.
We need to make sure he's 100%. It totally sucks that he's not out there game 1, but it's a marathon not a sprint.
...just trying to think glass half full here instead of Fletchering all over the message board.

in the NBA, it's pretty much always about skills. can't win without them

I feel more sorry for your mother. Pushing a baby head first out of her arse. Damn that had to be some real pain.

I hope you're right, but why not just come out and say that?
It would sound much better than saying "out indefinitely" especially with all of Monty's quotes

I really hope so, but the guy has had an entire offseason to rest. I'm not going to get too worried until more information comes out, but this is just about the worst start possible for a guy that created a ton of drama because we didn't offer a max contract. I'm glad that they didn't let the media talk to him because I'm sure it wouldn't be a pleasant interview.

It may be but so is pushing rest on game 1. Guy didn't play last year because needed rest...fine for Olympic try outs..now..he needs more rezt

anyone starting to think that he just really doesnt like it here and doesnt want to play for us.
quote:i agree 100% with you it would be a retarded thing to do. on the other hand during the contract process we have seen this dude doesnt always act logically and rationally
That makes no sense. If you want to get out of town you throw a hissyfit, not pretend to be permanently injured so you have zero trade value.
