When is he scheduled to come back, we need him in a bad way. Additionally, I don’t think we need to blow the team up, that’s nonsense, but I do agree Gentry needs to go!

Payton is a tall/athletic player who can slash and defend against other guards in this guard dominated league. which is exactly what pels are lacking...

Defense and jrue needs to get back to the 2 permanently

and Payton is about halfway done with his 6 week timeline

Exactly, Payton is by no means an all star but I do think he can fill a role that will make the team better. A good defender with size and length who can also allow Jrue to play off the ball which I think it has been proven is where he is at his best.

The defense would definitely be upgraded which I think has been the biggest key to our inconsistency.

Frazier has had his moments at point spelling Jrue but defensively he cannot bring what Payton can IMHO.

The team is at roughly 0.500. I wouldn’t call them desperate this early in the season.

I think they are abviously going to trade Mirotic. If they can add some help with Payton coming back that could push them into strong position over the second half of the season.

I think the team is underperforming with the current roster and are still 0.500.

I'm someone who has not blamed Gentry for a single thing that's gone wrong this season

If you want to blame Gentry, it's the push the pace at all costs mantra. I'm not sure that is the problem

We have a winning record when he starts. He vastly increases the pace of this team. You know, the pace that Gentry knows how to coach?

He doesn't know another way to coach. That's apparent. On the contrary, can you imagine Monty Williams trying to coach this way?

Since no one answered the actual question, it was said the injury would keep him out 4-6 weeks. The 6 week mark is December 31st from the surgery. I haven’t seen any updated news on a return.
