Kings look terrible and appear to have botched their rebuild. They also now have Buddy and Barnes under big money longterm. Its obviously 90% more likely that they want to max Fox and build around he and Buddy longterm, but hypothetically, how much of that AD package would they need in order to pry Fox away, and how much would we be willing to give?

A longterm core of Fox-Ingram-Zion could be devastating, and stranger things have happened in Sacramento than moving a guy like Fox.

I'd start with a package of Ball, Hart, a lakers pick and swap, and a future pels 1st.

Yea I was gonna bring up the likelihood that we'd have to move Jrue in the deal but it hurt too bad

Why would they want Jrue? They're a couple years away from competing.

For the same reasons we want Jrue. We are a couple years from competing also. Also means they don’t have to shell out a max deal to Fox.

The reason Jrue is so valuable is because he knows the organization and is a veteran leader to guide younger players who will take the franchise forward in a few years.

You're proposing the Kings trade for a veteran who doesn't know the franchise so he can lead mediocre players who may not be with the organization in a few years? The main benefit of having Jrue would be to mentor Fox.

Their roster is fine. The problem is their coach. Until they hire a good coach, their roster will lay to waste.

Jrue is a California kid and would probably welcome a trade to the Kings.

Max deal on Fox?!? They are just handing out max deal like it's candy these days. He's a good player, but there's no way in hell he's worthy of a max deal.

Can we send them Gentry and Lonzo for Fox and a future 1st?

I would argue their roster isn't fine. It's got issues. Also, they ran out the coach who gave them their best season in about 15 years.

The only way they would consider parting with Fox is a package that starts with Ingram and only if they had assurance he would resign.

I've been totally wrong about the Kings. They should be one of the top teams in the league. They are loaded and deep. Plus they are young and those guys should be getting better. But they aren't good. I just don't understand why they are struggling..
