I think NAW, BI, and Zion will start. NAW has played well with the starters. Some guys, like Lou Will or Jordan Clarkson, thrive as a top option on the second unit. I think NAW thrives when the defense keys in on other guys (Zion, BI) and he can just kind of do his thing. He is going into his third year, and at some point the front office and coaching staff need to see if he is a long-term guy before he hits RFA. I think NAW will get a lot of run this season. I think that was probably something Griffin and Willie talked about at some point.
I think Adams will begin the year as the starter but if Jaxson can provide more spacing for Zion/BI/NAW, I think he will at some point join that lineup. Same argument as NAW-he is going into his third year and at some point the FO/staff need to evaluate his long-term fit.
That leaves the PG position. I just have a feeling Lonzo will cost more than the FO is willing to pay. I think they will want a veteran since we have so many young guys at other spots. I think they will push for guys like Lowry, CP3, Conley. It’s not a great FA class overall, but if you’re looking for a veteran PG, you have some options. I think that if one of these guys want to come to NO, Griff could use one of the Lakers or Bucks picks to get rid of Bledsoe (maybe to OKC) and renounce Lonzo/Hart to get enough cap space. I think/hope that the folks saying we could use Jaxson and FRP to facilitate a S&T are incorrect. If I were betting, I guess I would bet on Conley. I think Lowry will have more suitors and CP3 is probably most likely to return to Phoenix. But you never know. So I’ll go with:
Conley or Lowry or CP3
NAW
BI
Zion
Adams/Jaxson depending on development

You think Paul is taking a 25M pay cut to come here? I would think that the president of the Union would look really bad taking a lesser contract to ring chase on a lottery team.

I don’t. That’s why I said I think he will probably go back to Phoenix and put him as least likely of the veteran FA PGs to come here. But he likes Willie, likes the city, and who’s to say he wouldn’t want to finish out his career where he started? I think there’s a very tiny chance of that, but I’m assuming Griffin has already/will gauge his interest. He may get a quick “no,” but I would guess he would at least inquire.

I like Hart. But he just isn't a SG in this league. He is a small 3/4 combo player. He had every opportunity to seize the SG spot. He didn't step up. Honestly, I don't think he is worth more than 5-6M a year and I wouldn't start him..
