In JJ's case, CAA. CAA helps JJ more than JJ helps CAA.
Based on what evidence?
Keeping in mind JJ can go with a dozen highly regarded agencies, many of which represented at Disney and numerous other networks. That JJ’s net worth is over 100 million. Why exactly does CAA hold power over him???
Rough guess at answer: another layer of speculative, evidence-less assertions that JJ somehow needs CAA more than CAA needs him, despite JJ being employed by Disney, who is far more powerful and engenders much more loyalty since they are his direct employer in the field he has spoken of wanting to move into for a decade. That ignores that JJ and other athletes employ agencies because they aren’t lawyers, negotiators, procurers, advisors, career advancers, and schedulers, and these agencies provide a service they think this one does better than others.

Based on a former NBA player who needs gigs and an agency helps find them because it’s mutually beneficial for both?
I thought you knew how this whole things works…

CAA is literally worth more than all of those other agencies combined... they control pretty much the entire entertainment industry, they are not losing a single ounce of sleep if JJ told them tomorrow that he is signing with Klutch.
Stop being stupid.

Go out there and risk your reputation, lie about a sensitive situation,
Except none of this is a lie. He’s not risking he’s reputation. He’s actually holding it up with current nba players (to get good with them and get inside sources so he can be a good “analyst” on ESPN”

Now work out for me why scenario one is the most plausible explanation here?
You keep refusing because you know in your heart this is fricking stupid and baseless nonsense that is exactly what it is, some dude creating head cannon and posting, not actually thinking anything through with any sort of critical thinking or logic

Lets call this for what it is, you sat in your chair, thought up a what if scenario, and instead of applying any critical thinking or healthy skepticism of your hypothesis, you hit the new thread button and posted it.
Now you are doubling down with more and more absurdist, cartoonish, reality-bending conspiracies to prop up your initial, baseless, evidence-less hypothesis.
CAA is powerful, but this idea they literally control and micromanage their clients in this manner is absurd.
Again, just think what has to take place for this conspiracy to work? The logistics alone make this ridiculous. So in your mind, CJ says his comments, faceless CAA guys huddle together, come up with this weird plot to use JJ to trash Zion as a means to lower his trade value in order to benefit Leon Rose. Call JJ, which apparently CAA has a dossier on JJ's feelings about Zion already so this plot can work, or they are asking him to lie and trash Zion even though he secretly wants to help him get to NY. JJ says sure, I'll trash my own teammate, so then he has to call up First Take Producers, demand this topic gets put on the docket for Tuesday, then the event happens, and two days later there are no CAA follow up moves. So the grand conspiracy was what? Trash their client with another client? And this makes sense to you??
Sounds so much more plausible than: First Take Producers came up with a segment to generate content, JJ offered his perspective.
But Im sorry, Ill stop being stupid, it's all a grand conspiracy!!! The Illuminati are real and work for CAA
