Can we get Trey more involved?

I feel like it’s partly him needing to hunt his shot and partly his teammates needing to look for him.

He goes in for 2 minutes in the first, does nothing wrong, and gets subbed out. I really don’t get it
Yes i know he fouled the 3 point shooter, but that call is dumb. Dejounte jumped 2 feet forward

I almost posted as a joke after that three point foul, welp, guess that’s it for Trey in the lineup
…and turns out, sure enough
Can’t say it hasn’t worked to an extent, since Trey keeps cleaning up his play, but man, feels like he and only he is getting this treatment out there

I dont get why Naji has this huge amount of forgiveness. Naji does more bad than good, that’s just the player he is. Trey may do more bad then good, but I think more minutes would turn him into a positive player. He just has so much more upside

He needs to make himself more available on the court, he goes straight to the corner every time and the ball doesn’t find him

I dont even give a frick about his offense. We were obviously getting killed on 1v1 defense and defensive boards, both of which Trey excels at.
Naji is a fake hustle guy and fake defender. I hate that Willie feels loyal to his garbage arse for some reason

Trey needs naji minutes, that’s a fact.

Hard agree. I like Naji when he gets downhill and attacks the rim, but he will also throw up an idiotic three early in the shot clock without fail. Trey's trajectory is heading the right way, and I think he can do most of the things Naji does.

Naji shoots 22% from 3 and keeps jacking them up. He needs to be glued to the bench.

He did the opposite of what he’s been doing all year which is run to the corner. He ran to the ball this game

this is a bad take and you should feel bad.
naji plays hard and plays tough

he's young, he needed to be motivated.
credit willie
every team needs guys like naji, instant energy and some nastiness. yes he reaches/takes bad angles and yes he launches every now and then, but i would posit that the pels would have been up shite creek without his late season minutes

Unfortunately I don’t feel bad. He’s very selective in his amount of hustle. He also is selective about his defense. He obviously knows how to defend the ball since he’s shown us multiple times he can stay in front of people when he tries, yet he gets blown by an astounding amount of times. These selective times mostly come out when he’s not “getting his” on offense.
He’s been better about it lately, but he definitely went through a phase of “I got paid and now can relax” earlier this season.
