If he is a brand like Jordan or LeBron it doesn’t fu@ing matter where he plays. LeBron had a brand and he played in Cleveland

LeBron had to leave CLeveland to elevate his brand.

They’re a horribly run organization thanks to having one of the worst owners in all of sports and have mostly been a sub .500 team since the 2000s.

I just don’t get the entitlement amongst their fans/media that now he’s destined to waste away playing for a poor organization when they’ve been just as bad, if not worse.

New York is one of the largest brand in the NBA. It's also one of the hardest ticket to get because they sell out Madison Square Garden every night despite being a poor run organization. Zion to New York make the NBA more interesting. Zion to New York equal more money for the NBA. Zion is a big fish that need to go to a market like New York not to a small market like NOLA.

I think the whole Zion doesn’t want to be in Nola thing has been overblown. He looked uncomfortable to me, not mad.

He had his heart set on New York. I think he would have been disappointed in most cities, not just ours.

I think AD’s endorsement issues has less to do with market size and more about his total lack of personality.

Yeah, I mean just look at Drew Brees.

The guy doesn't go out of the way to seek the celebrity like Manning but he is doing pretty good for himself.

New York tears down more than it builds up, also. That's why so many names go there to effectively die. you think Melo's brand improved in NY?

Melo was a lot more relevant with the Knicks than he is with the...wait, what team is he with now?
