Is Gay still going to be traded or is the new owner ok with going into tax territory?
Posted on 8/3/12 at 3:44 pm to TigerinATL
No one really knows...
He'll definitely be here for this upcomming season, after that they'll probably have to get rid of either gay or randolph.
Marc and Conley are the only two untouchables.

I think we'll be better than the Kings, Suns, and Rockets...I don't know about the Trailblazers

I don't know what the team will do, but the writer I spoke to believes they are very clear with their starters at this point.

Pointless exercise. He's a nice combo guard could be a really nice piece coming off the bench, I personally saw him light it up once or twice for the Grizz, but if he's your starting point guard, there's at least one glaring problem with your roster.
Nonsense. If he is not a legit starter, there are 30 players better suited to start at PG in the NBA. No one is calling him CP3, but Monty and Demps both think he is a starting PG. Are you going to act like the word "legit" means top 10 or franchise player?

Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker are close but I expect both of them to be better in the long run.

Sons, sons, sons!!!! I am disappoint!

Do you really have to post that over and over on here? We get that you think the posters here are immature, but don't post useless stuff like this in a thread where legitimate basketball discussion is going on.

I think Vasquez will at least be better than these guys. We will just have to see how he can do as a full time starter this year. He's still young so he has plenty of room to improve and I think we could certainly do much worse.

Of those you listed Jameer Nelson is the only one I'll give you. The other guys are better.
Not really. We might be in the bottom 5 at PG in the league, if not last.

Rondo and Parker should switch places

We don't really need a dominant point with the way this team is being built, though. Vasquez put up good assist numbers last year (averaged a little over 7 in 33 minutes in the last month of the season), and that's all we need with guys like Gordon, Davis, and Anderson around him. I'm sure we will eventually go after someone better, but I think Vasquez will do the job well enough this year.

Not a ranking just a list.

If vasquez gives us 12/6.5/3 thats more than adequate, He has averaged near that as a starter.
Plus hes only 25/26 he can still grow as a player.

Where do you believe the Hornets finish in the West this year?

We need someone who is at least good at passing the ball. Vasquez is above average but is turnover prone, Gordon is okay, and Rivers has a ways to go. Unless our offense is Gordon and Rivers taking turns driving to the basket a ball handler that can create efficiently for others is a need, especially with the threat of the lob to davis. On top of that his lateral mobility is shite, and is a defensive liability.

I think vasquez can work on his defense to at least be passable. Its not like hes an old guy.

I'll give you both of those, but again, he's still young. Turnovers can easily be fixed with coaching and experience through playing time. He could improve his defense a bit as well, but a healthy Gordon along with Davis covers most of our defense in the paint and on the perimeter.
