Camby has def been a solid player in the league, but I'd hope the ceiling would be hire for a player I'd be drafting in the top 3. Middle of the first sure, top 3 not so much.

Do you know how many top 5 picks flop in the NBA? Probably more than succeed. Averaging a double double with 2.5 blocks is pretty damn good
That is a valid point, but you aren't setting the bar very high. Oak has better career averages than Camby and people even consider him an underperformer. If that is the best we can hope for, why not just keep Oak at Center?

A bust? Seriously? He came in an averaged 15/6/2 his rookie year. Injuries hampered his play, which could be the only knock on him.
He got traded after his 2nd year straight up for an old Charles Oakley (going into his 14th season). You would hope a great, young player with alot of upside would have had more value. He got dumped, plain and simple. Also, he never got within 2 points of that rookie season again.

Id love to know who a great player is in your eyes. Not every is going to be Lebron James. Im sure a lot of NBA execs would call Camby a great player
Great player is a subjective term. A solid role player/starter doesn't get that type of love from me. I would save that for all pro's, all stars, franchise players, top 10 positional players, etc. He just doesn't impress me in that way.

And he had a pretty solid career. Is this supposed to be a knock?
Not at all. I acknowledge that he has been solid. Every team needs players like him. I just hope for more, a lot more.
