Is Asik hurt?

Asik has looked a step quicker and more "agile" post All Star break, he's even coming up quite a few ground balls that would have been lost previously. I think that early back injury may have lingered until he got to rest it up at the AS break.

Monty loves playing Ryan 9 minutes in the 4th while he is shooting 1-7 from 3 point land

IF he gets us into the playoffs, I can hardly see why the team would do anything about our coaching situation (I'd still love for us to do something about the training staff though).

He is improving. It's a little bit shining up a turd situation. It's still a turd yada yada. Going from a 2/10 to a 5/10 is a lot more noticeable than 6-8 etc.

The guys he is working with right now are perfectly suited to his strengths. He doesn't have to get creative. He's forced to play them at certain spots on the floor.

There are still plenty of questions (more than I care for), but he is at least starting to answer some of them.

TL:DR - Playoffs - YES - Anything else - NO

If this was year 1 or 2, I'd be excited at the prospect of him coaching. This is year 5.

Yup.

ATL's Brooks comp is fitting. I have no doubt Monty would get eaten alive in a playoff series when it's all matchups and adjustments.

At the risk of sounding like an Asik-apologist, I had been saying this for most of the season. Him coming back to play after the back injury in mo way meant that it was fully healed, and injuries like that tend to linger. I'm glad to see that he's playing close to what we were all expecting out of him.
