Any retrospective thoughts on new lineups?

Wasn't able to watch the game last night, but heard there were a few rotational changes. Was there anything that stood out that worked, overall thoughts? Not sure I like Hawkins getting 0 minutes, but we beat a good team on the road.

It was needed last night, we prioritized the tournament as a critical game, and he's not a dude that is good enough to be in a mainstay in a playoff rotation right now.

Willie's rotations were perfect last night for where this team is. People lost their minds when Naji was the first man off the bench, but who the first man is is irrelevant. Naji finished with 13 minutes and Trey with 30.

I'm still trying to figure out why Zion played only 28 minutes, and it seemed like both the 2nd and 4th quarter he sat for really long stretches and didn't return until the final 2 minutes. That was interesting.

There weren't any rotational changes. This is our bread and butter playoffs lineup without Nance.

Go read the game thread. We were all in agreement that the rotations were perfect.

Everyone loved Naji being 1st man off the bench, and we all agreed Hawkins needed 0 minutes.

It's because it was his first time this season to play a 3rd game in 4 nights. They didn't announce it, but I am 99% sure that Zion was on a minutes restriction Friday, Saturday, and last night.

That would be odd and contradict all the other things we did.

We tightened the rotation, played BI 40 minutes, clearly treating this like a mini playoff game.

To go the opposite way for only 1 player, your best player, just seems odd.

Hawkins will get minutes again after the tourney. He needs to continue letting it rip from 3, and plant himself next to Herb and Dyson in meetings.

Get stronger in the off-season should be number one priority. Future looks super bright with him. His rebounding has been impressive, too.

A “playoff rotation” looks different depending on the opponent. There are matchups where you’ll need more Dyson but the Kings aren’t one of them
