Not to be a debbie downer, but nobody tried to stop the ball... Id argue most of the PFs in the NBA could make that play (except that fatass Zach Randolph)

Poppycock, that was some sick acceleration from the top of the key to the hoop, saying that most PFs in the game could burst by Jordan/Faried like that before they even know what hit them is in fact being a "debbie downer".

The commentators saying he was a point guard in high school is getting about as old as people saying Jimmy Graham played basketball.

The dribble drive and finish was very Durant-esque.

Not many have the explosiveness, length, and timing it took to steal that alley.

Thats the most impressive part of the play... it was effortless

JayJay, you really think AD is one of the only PFs in the NBA who can dribble a uncontested ball the length of the court for a wide open dunk?

JayJay didn't say that. He mocked the suggestion.

Hes already got a jumped.

Hes got Kevin Love type range and always has since high school. He just hasnt shown it that much. At UK he was the C and took the least amount of shots on the team because he understands the game and did what the coach told him to do. Last year was his 1st year in the NBA and we didnt really run the offense through him. That changes this year. Hes got the shot to knock down 3s and can. Just hasnt shown it yet due to him being a great team player and doing his job.

Next year is the year AD becomes a top 10 player in the league IMO. Especially considering the talent we put around him. Holiday and AD will love playing with each other. They complement each other so well. And Tyreke is 1 of the best slashers in the NBA. AD will be sitting 15ft away and the D goes to Tyreke. Drive, dish, AD makes the 15ft shot all day.

He did it in a game last year against Miami. Impressed now?

..I was really only talking about that one play. That was pretty clear.

Exactly. There was no crossovers or between the legs dribbling, but it was how fluid he looked doing it. Sure, most big men in the NBA can dribble from one end of the court to the other and dunk, but not the way he did it.

dribbling up an empty basketball court and dunking?

ya..

AD is impressive. I love him. The alley oop pick was awesome--great reflex and reaction. He got up there quickly.

The rest of the play was just OK. Yes, a lot of PFs can do that...I'm not saying that AD doesn't have great handles. I'm saying that that play doesn't show that he does.
