I'm sure it's a long shot, but this article made me think about "what if"?

I can't help but think there would be big bucks involved, but would it turn out to be crappy, boring, silly pop songs like "Too Late For Goodbyes", just to make them sound like their fathers?

It's an idea that sounds so fricking awful and ridiculous . . . that they could turn out to be great.

I say we lock them in a room with a dozen sheets of acid and some musical instruments. Toss George Martin into that mix, and you've got a masterpiece.
