Yeah, that was a great show, and F Ossie Brown (for Life of Brian too). The Police did a show about the same time (probably just before J Geils) in the Centroplex and it was excellent as well. And then the Centroplex pulled the plug on concerts for a long time.
Best I ever saw - Little Feat on the River Boat President for Jazz Fest in 1988. It was the first concert by Little Feat after the death of Lowell George in 1979 and the energy was off the charts. They also had Jimmy Buffett, Bonnie Raitt, and Ed Bradly join them.

Waylon Jennings because he was old and it was laid back and wasn't too crowded...music was great and you were right in front of him and you actually had a place to sit and drink a beer instead standing shoulder to shoulder next to shirtless sweaty dudes.
