if the competition is who can play one song for 60 minutes, they will run away with this victory

I'm not sure WSP has played a song for longer than 20 before

30-60 minute jams are left up to the pros

no worries my friend. I realize different strokes for different folks. I like the whiney, emo lyrics

although Dawes can really ROCK THE frick OUT. Them live is something to behold.

Which stage are they on? Day?

Cause I know that is where all the 18-24 year old skirt will be, and I never miss an opportunity to creep like a creep.

The second Sunday at 4:15, Sheraton New Orleans stage

As far as the skirt, they actually attract an older crowd. I think the old heads feel nostalgic like they're listening to Neil Young or something haha. Don't get me wrong, younger people definitely attend too, but i've always been struck by how many older folks are there too

That's actually not a bad time slot for them.

I was going to ask when the last time they played a song LESS than 30 minutes? I would love Panic if they stopped every song after 5 mins tops. Who wants to listen to someone finger their guitar for an hour? Same issue with Phish and Grateful Dead.

That's just dopey Phish fans only knock on Panic, is that they "don't jam"

I really do like Panic, I just can't get into the tracks that are long and drawn out. I sometimes prefer the studio versions of songs because they're not as long. A friend pointed out to me awhile back that they record every single show. It's pretty cool to hear how the same songs change from show to show.

I'm gonna see the first half of Panic and then i usually start to get bored and will go check out Tower of Power

- not trying to make some smart aleck insult, i just have seen panic a ton and while they are good, they just don't do it for me a lot.

the fact you have to say this makes me nauseous. Dawes will win Jazzfest, btw

Dawes is now a fake jam band and just isn't as good since they keyboard player left. They were good at what they did and it was kind of unique. Then decided to try whatever it is that they do now and its not that great.
