Why no talk about the new Titus Andronicus album?

Used to see this band discussed constantly on here.

New album comes out --> I see nothing.

It's no The Monitor, but I like it OK.

Did I miss the discussion?

yep. LINK

But I am certainly down to discuss it some more.

I would say it is their weakest yet, but still a very good/fun record. A shoe in for my year end top 10.

In terms of their albums I would rate them (out of five possible stars):

The Monitor- 5
The Airing of Grievances- 4.5
Local Business- 4

Honestly, I think it's better than the Airing of Grievances. This is the first time they sound like a band, and not a solo project with a bunch of guest musicians. It's not The Monitor, but that's an unreasonably high standard.

It's a pretty great album.

Search function bro.

And I agree with Baloo.

The Monitor > Local Business > Airing of Grievances.

I love the new album start to finish. Even the tracks near the end where know-it-all critics say Titus Andronicus sort of trails off, I love those as well.

I am not in love with the last track. Electric Man, and the two short interludes I skip from time to time as well.

The other six tracks are all top-notch though.

I think Seaward just confirmed that he is a know-it-all music snob / critic.

I LOVE the interludes. FOOD FIGHT! is one of my favorite songs on the album, and perfectly balances the serious tone of My Eating Disorder.
