Started listening to alabama shakes yesterday. When will they get to popular and people start hating on them so I can know before hand.

Gotye seems like the pretty obvious answer to me

Where should I start with Gotye? Obviously they have some support behind them, but I've never listened to them

Gotye is fricking awful. Alabama Shakes are one of the best new bands since The Strokes IMO.

I like that one song gotye has, but the shakes album blows his away.
I think the Alabama shakes mop up at the awards shows this year. Tons of momentum.
And even more after they play a few shows with jack white.

I really don't pay attention to the Grammys, I just can't believe anyone likes the Alabama shakes. Of course, I feel that way about lots of music

grammys don't mean anything. I don't like either of those bands but alabama shakes are much better.

Grammy Awards are worthless and have been for a very long time.
