Even though you were less than enthusiastic about my thread, I will turn the other cheek.

I’m going with the incomparable cougar herself, Ms. Nancy Wilson:

Kim Deal (Pixies)
Kim Gordon (sonic youth)
Exene Cervanka (X)
Laura Ballance (Superchunk)
Courtney Barnett
Merill Garbus- tUnE-YaRdS
Diva Dompé- Just saw her playing bass for Pop Tone (Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, Love & Rockets). They played mostly Tones on Tail songs which are very bass intensive and Diva nailed it. She is also Kevin Haskins daughter.

Taylor Momsen is ridiculously hot right now.

Heart is by far my favorite established successful female answer.

The Pleasure Seekers - "Never Thought You'd Leave Me" (1965)

Featuring a young Suzy Quatro. Perhaps the first great record by an all girl rock band.

Slightly different question: which women rockers' music do you think you would still listen to if they weren't women?

I can think of only one answer for me:

Very difficult to answer if the female rocker is the vocalist. The sound would necessarily be very different. Well except maybe for the Silversun Pickups.
