West Coast came on the scene with NWA, Dre, Snoop, Tupac

East Coast had a plethora of mc's and rappers

Atlanta burst onto the scene with Outkast in early - mid 90's.

New Orleans with Cash Money and No Limit

Houston had Rap A Lot records, Geto Boys, Scarface

You don't see it as territorial as it once was. Any idea why?

New York is still putting out quality Hip Hop through guys like Capital STEEZ (RIP), CJ Fly, & Joey Bada$$. Also groups like Flatbush Zombies or A$AP Mob. I don't follow Hip Hop as much as I used to, but I like what Pro Era has done.

Pro Era - Like Water

Joey Bada$$ - Christ Conscious

CJ Fly & Dirty Sanchez - Ernee

Capital STEEZ & Joey Bada$$ - Survival Tactics

Chicago is kind of interesting with the drill scene vs. the "Save Money" crew where you have like a yin/yang thing going on between bleak ghetto despair and upbeat posi-consciousness.

It's still territorial and it's all coming out of Atlanta.

It all sounds like it's coming from Atlanta. Every rapper wants to sound like Future now

Also the Underachievers out of NY. Chicago's drill scene is probably one of the hottest movements out right now. That and these stupid fricking dance rap songs that keep coming out.

This.

Also, TDE is about to have a huge year as well. Q, Ab Soul, SZA and Isaiah Rashad all have albums coming out this year. Not to mention the rumored Black Hippy collab project will break the internet if it comes to fruition.

Isaiah Rashad will have a big 2016 (new song)

I'd put those 6 up against anyone right now

If the Black Hippy stuff sounds like Vice City then I'm down.
