In 1977 it was right at the top. Today, more meh, and a nice listen every four to five years.
IMO it's rank has sort of been tarnished due to over exposure like most everything the Eagles. (statement from like 1980)

One of my all time favorite solos is the solo in "Easy" by the Commodores.
Technically, it's nothing, but it fits and is so incredibly memorable.
Somewhat on-topic, a solo I like from the Eagles catalogue is from I Can't Tell You Why (the big hit with Schmit on lead vocals), and was a rare, late-era Glenn Frey solo (he played more lead early to counterpoint the incredibly gifted, but more country/bluegrass oriented Bernie Leadon, less when Felder come onboard and almost not at all with both Felder and Walsh in the band).
Felder ended up playing the solo a lot, live and was very complimentary of it. Frey demurred at compliments to the "feel" and "vibe" of it, countering, "I play slow leads like that because that's as fast as I can play." For a guy who had a massively unmanageable ego, that's a pretty good line.

Any solo that you can whistle or hum along to without actually listening to the song is a great solo.

It’s obviously highly subjective, but give me Television- Marquee Moon

Frey was always pretty funny.
As far as the solo, to me its phenomenal. To have Walsh and Felder trading solos.... what a treat.
Walshs tone on that tele is straight sex.
