Lucas Nelson and Jason Isbell both contributed songs, and Cooper actually contributed (as a co-writer) on some.

I had given up on country for years until I saw this film. I asked a very similar question on this board about a year and a half ago, and it opened me up to so many different new artists.

it's not hard to find good country music. you just have to seek it out. it won't be played on mainstream nash fm type channels though.
