Seriously, there is a lot more to guitar than the speed with which you can sweep. That song you posted exhibits no tonal precision or emotion. It's just hitting notes as fast as possible.

If you think that crap is music, then you are in position to judge the RHCP.

Music is not about skill and difficulty. It is about making quality sounds and rhythms.

I like virtually all types of music, but speed/death metal and that type is headache inducing.

And who are you to judge?

How come you People care so much what I think about a band you like anyways?

Agreed, that's why it's a warm up.

Once again, what was the point of saying that you do more in a warm up than Frusciante does in a whole album? Is that what you value when it comes to music? Quantity of notes played?

..this is my last fricking response to this thread. There is a difference in warming up, and playing what you play with whatever you play.

I overdo myself when warming up, and I play for 30-60 minutes sometimes. Depends on mood/situation/etc. After playing heavy technical riffs, it's easier for me to play everything else. In the time that I'm warming up, I'm confident my hands and fingers work more than a lot of rock band guitarists. Not just him.

And it's not just music like cannibal corpse, for warming up on leads, I like to run through some of the solos by (just to name some names people here may know) Dimebag darrell, Kerry king, evh, Etc and even Jerry Cantrell.

Getting tired of the Floyd rose though, been using that for a couple years and I think I've grown too comfortable with it..sorta like Kirk and his wah pedal. Going to be using les pauls for the foreseeable future.

You explained what you said but I don't get your point. So your fingers do more work...so you are saying that you decide how much you like music based on how hard the guitarist's fingers work?

That video was amazing, I've never seen a guitarist fingers flying around so much and the song sound so monotone. The never changing drum beat was right in that flow.
