I did a search and there are only 6 posts about him.
For those of you unfamiliar he is an interesting rock/americana mix who does a lot of stuff with Jason Isbell.
He is as good as telling a story as any musician I've ever listened to. He has been around for a while, and has 10 studio albums and 4 live albums.
If you haven't heard of Josh Ritter, I recommend you listen to The Historical Conquests or Sermon on the Rocks first. They are more up-tempo, then you can dive deeper into his music.
For those of you who are fans, how would you rank the albums?
Mine:
1. Historical Conquests
2. The Animal Years
3. Sermon on the Rocks
4. Beast in its Tracks
5. Fever Breaks
6. Gathering
7. So Runs the World Away
8-10. I am not a huge fan of

I’m a huge Josh Ritter fan and have seen a couple of his shows, which you can tell he has a blast doing. But I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t say his last few albums are a far fall from grace from where he started. Although Fever Breaks did have a coupe solid tracks on it.
Animal Years
Historical Conquest
So Runs the World Away
Hello Starling
Golden Age of Radio
All the rest.

So, I've noticed recently Josh seems very fidgety and odd. More so than usual. Both while singing and talking. Do you know if he has a minor condition? He is acting very strange.
It is especially obvious in this Tiny Desk concert three months ago

I was underwhelmed the first time I listened, but if you really focus on the lyricism it is a masterpiece.

I'm not a "lyrics person", per se, but his are good. I need to learn a few songs from AY.
