Whats with Jay Electronica?

For a few years I've been hearing he's on the verge of making it big. I was a huge fan of his mixtape Eternal Sunshine and have been waiting for Patents of Nobility for awhile. Whats the hold up? I've heard Jay Z loves the album but wont release it because it doesnt have a single on it. Anybody know anything about this?

The album is turned in and is being mixed/mastered (possibly by ?uestlove)

He tweeted that it would definitely be some time this year, but your guess is as good as mine.

i'm still kind of pissed that he cancelled a show in new orleans i had bought tickets for just because he signed with roc nation and they scheduled his signing party the same night. since then i don't believe the dude has played a single show in new orleans, unless maybe you count the filming of that mountain dew commercial. dude's talented, but frick that guy.

That sucks. I don't think he's performed anywhere in a very, very long time. Hopefully he'll pick that back up and stop by HOBs or somewhere after he releases Act II.
