What's happened to the Lakefront Arena?

It used to be the shite back in the day when it came to metal/rock concerts, now it just sits.
The last show I saw there was Godsmack back in the beginning of 2012, but I'm surprised they don't book more big time bands.

Great rock bands and metal acts stopped coming to NOLA for solo shows. It's depressing. Festivals are great, but they arent the same. Sometimes I just want to see a band destroy a set in a closed setting.
