Southern Accents for me, and it is not close.

Rebels:
Even before my father's father
They called us all rebels
While they burned our cornfields
And left our cities leveled

Southern Accents:
Now that drunk tank in Atlanta's
Just a motel room to me

Make It Better (Forget About Me)
There was too much rain, too much humidity
Tell me why you did what you did to me?
Honey you're the judge, there ain't no jury
And I'm just an innocent boy, used to bein' guilty

The Best of Everything
Yeah and it's over before you know it
It all goes by so fast
Yeah, the bad nights last forever
And the good nights don't ever seem to last
And man, we never had the real thing,
But sometimes we used to kiss
Back when we didn't understand,
What we were caught up in.

ETA

I hit submit WAY too early

EATA

I've always been a fan of Petty, but I guess it was casual now that I see what I've been missing out on. I recently stumbled upon this album and was completely blown away. It hooked me from start to finish.

Can I go with favorite song instead? I've never listened to his albums if I'm being honest.

his greatest hits album was about the only thing i was exposed to. it's a damn shame because there are some excellent tracks that missed the cut.

is actually on southern accents

Probably my least favorite song of his. Some varied tastes on the board.

"Damn the Torpedoes" for me.

Yeah, interesting video. I think Dave Stewart perverted the group though for that album.

I would be torn between Full Moon Fever and Southern Accents, I like them both a lot.

technically, you wouldn't have to be torn since FMF was a solo album.

Yes, but the Heartbreakers wouldn't exist without TP, either. Regardless, the 3x I saw them in concert were all very good.

Tirebiter

We are on the same wavelength.

My fav Tom Petty CD is Full Moon Fever.

It was his first solo CD and it rocks. Full Moon Fever

Yeah, and I think there was a smoking hot chick in that video, or some other one.

I'm gonna look.
