As for me, I am loving the new album from Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra. No link, but I suggest checking them out for anyone who likes experimental/post rock.

Buddy Holly - Peggy Sue
Buddy Holly - Rave On
I'm not really a big fan of rock music from the 50's. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the music and I certainly respect how the artists progressed jazz and blues.
With that said, I think Buddy Holly was creating some really interesting music in his day. I hear a lot of similarities between him and David Byrne of the Talking Heads.

Listening to the underrated, American rockers from the late 70's, early 80's, Riot.
Swords and Tequila----Riot
Heavy Metal Machine----Riot

I'm getting into Talking Heads (as you might tell from my avi/sig), and I'm working through their catalog. I don't know what bit me, but now I have a hunger for their music.
When I was coming of age, I was in the mid/late 90's. This music is a lot better.

Psycho Killer, despite how played out it is, is absolutely phenomenal. There´s never a time it comes on, no matter the situation, that I say ´frick me, what´s with this?´. Really.
Apart from Pulled Up, which is of that calibre, I´d add Love For Sale. So fricking ridiculous, and so fricking good.
