Phish already has a solid cover of "No Quarter"
SP and AT tell me they see you all the time at school.

Not a phish fan, but they do this a lot? I would even be curious to hear their renditions on certain artists.
What about Mumford and sons... Just frickn!
How about Hendrix?

Its kind of tradition for jam bands to play covers on Halloween.
Phish picks a whole album to cover every year

What would you choose?

Actually it is more of a thing that Phish started and lower tier jam bands copied.

I'm guessing they choose someone older?

I honestly dont really care. But I think they would do well with Zappa and ABB - Eat A Peach would be interesting

Phish plays "Fire" as a rarity. 1 or 2 times a year at max.
Let's face it, it would be nearly impossible to do Are You Experienced or Electric Ladyland any justice.

What would it be like like if phish covered WSP and WSP covers phish...

The latter would be fricking sweet because I (along with many other posters here) will be there
The former would NEVER happen.

Yes phish was the very first band to play covers on Halloween.
In fact, phish invented the cover song.

They covered not only a complete album, but a double album for their first "big" Halloween show in 1994.
Show me a band that did that before.
Eta: in addition to playing two 1:30 sets of original music. 5 hours of total live music in one show

I honestly think WSP would actually be better covering phish than phish covering WSP.

They did it first. I'll completely admit that. Yet covers have always been a big part of any panic set so dont even try to pretend that WSP playing one time only covers on Halloween has anything to do with copying Phish.
In order to copy Phish they would have to cover an entire album. Which to my knowledge widespread has never done.
