Any list of Iconic Concerts would have to start with:
1. Woodstock '69
2. Beatles at Shea Stadium '64

Well, this isn’t the best time for this advice but, once we get beyond the pandemic, go see more concerts.
Not sure why I haven't been to any concerts. I like music. I have been to tons of shows and plays in places like NYC, Vegas, London, just not really any concerts other than orchestra.
I guess a couple of reasons are there's not really a particular band or singer than I'm a devoted fan of and I have a really calm, quiet demeanor. I wouldn't like being next to people standing up around me, singing, dancing, and all that stuff.

Ever seen the Woodstock movie? That was kind of a big concert.
I have actually walked the Woodstock site in Bethel, New York. I arrived about 7:30 AM on a sunny Saturday morning and had the whole area to myself. It's very well kept and quite pretty out there. Hard to imagine 500,000 people not just being there - but getting there.

That gets all the attention but there were so many greats on that tour, Springfield, Hartford, Boston....dang most all of them.
Spring 1990 was pretty good too.

I haven't thought about the subject enough to come up with a list but first we need to define this topic better. Are we asking for top five iconic concerts in rock (or music) history or your favorite five concerts you have either attended or listened to because those are nowhere near the same topic. Iconic concerts have an effect on music history, the music business, American culture and society, and even international or world culture and society. Favorite concerts are memories and music that may be precious to you but no one else in the world gives a grasshopper's shite about.
