I'm agreeing w a lot of the core picks but really struggling with all the Viet Cong nods. What am I missing? What, if anything, stands out on this album?
Listen to Mew. All of it. Great band. Frengers is one of those albums that allows me to pinpoint a time in life.
Lots of Courtney Barnett, deservingly so, but thought we'd see some Natalie Prass or Nikki Lane

Ive seen you post about them a few times. I have tried them out on Spotify and I was digging what I heard. Tons of music just dont know where to start

I wish I could help, but I honestly love every release they've put out. I just love the syncopation and dissonance they use, especially the guitarist.
Just some favorite songs of mine:
Snow Brigade
Apocalypso
Special
Introducing Palace Players
They actually just announced a North American tour in the last couple days, but they come nowhere near the US. I may try to fly out to one of the weekend shows if I can. I saw them in Vancouver back in like 2006 and they absolutely killed it. I had only heard a song or two before then and was turned into an instant fanboy.

If you don't think Continental Shelf, and Death are amazing songs, then you just don't like that type of music.
