Listening to KRVS' "Blues Box". Someone is Singing "Oreo Cookie Blues".
Patton, Johnson, Muddy, and The Wolf, and other Seminal Giants, by way of actual Despair, Reflected, and Projected their Feelings, with Honesty.
Clapton never Plowed a 40 Acre Patch.

Are you wondering why? I mean times have changed. The people who are living in a shitty state of life are making hip hop to talk about it. Not blues.

How many blues tunes are about plowing a 40 acre patch? I can't seem to recollect all of them by the artists you referenced.

That is most likely the great Lonnie Mack, with Stevie Ray Vaughn backing him up....if that is the case and you didn't know that, you need to go back and study some more blues.

Just found an act called the Chris Duarte Group on one of my drives. Sounds pretty damn cool.

Also, anybody that thinks Tad Benoit is a travesty should get their head checked.

All true bro. Clapton and SRV aren't claiming to have given those giants the blues. Blues hasn't had anything really fresh in almost 3 decades

Absolutely. Check him out on Letterman a few months ago. A white man can play the blues, but he's got to have the blues in him. Playing the notes is not the blues.
