And I learned he introduced a nobody named Stevie Ray Vaughn to David Bowie and had him play the hot licks on Let's Dance.


Why isn't there a netflix special on this guy?

There really ought to be. He played a gigantic role in 70s disco, writing all those huge hits for Chic, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross. Then in the 80s he produced big hits for David Bowie, Duran Duran, INXS, Madonna. And he had that comeback with Daft Punk and Beyonce.

I read that Bowie saw Double Trouble at the Montreux Jazz Festival and contacted SRV about playing.
