I remember watching that as a kid with my parents. My parents were there, though not together. They had just started dating and already had plans to go with their own crew. They had plans to meet up once there, but that proved impossible.
They both had some awesome stories about the experience. Mom and her friends stayed a couple of nights at some farmer's house because her Corvair got stuck in the mud when they were trying to leave.
