Led Zeppelin had a lot of sources for inspiration for sure.

That's why Pink Floyd and The Beatles will always be light years ahead of Led Zeppelin.

I don't see what the big deal is.. There's a few songs that have a bass walk down in A minor like that from the same era. The chorus to Something by The Beatles is just like that. It's a common thing in a minor key to do that.

Kafka's links are pretty incriminating.

IMHO, the Plaintiff's claim will be denied. I hear insufficient similarity.

Hasnt Zeppelin lost a few lawsuits because of this? Great musicians but maybe not "creators"

And that matters a whole lot more to him than it does to most of the rest of us. I know it doesn't affect my enjoyment of their music one iota.

Statute of limitations?

And, yes, I hear similarities. But, no, I don't think it's actionable copyright infringement.

I'm a big Spirit fan, but I agree with this. I doubt the surviving members or estates or whatever will win this in court.

I mean, it was a pretty easy song to miss for the last 40 years, right?

They will likely lose just based on the fact that they waited so damn long to do something about it, right?

ETA: right? RIGHT?!!

the Stones ripped off plenty of blues artists in the same manor. Keefe even talks about in his book.
