With instruments you could find in a 2nd grade music class 
I don't like Fallon's show at all, but one bright spot has been the Roots. While they are often a very serious band, I have liked getting to their sense of humor.

Ive seen the roots live Numerous times and always knew they were amazing musicians, but since they started doing fallon my respect for them has grown ten fold. The amount of music they create and cover on a weekly basis is phenomenal.

IIRC they approached fallon about the deal, and they are based in philly. so it wasnt like they were doing it for the convenience of the easy paycheck. shite ton of travel for a band that still has to go out and tour/play live shows. at least it shows that they want to stay relevant and are completely open to playing a very wide variety of things (walkout music and playing with other artists)
