they may be the most influenced classic rock band of all time
Influences is what was in the video/link a view post back. Where Keith said this is what he/we did: (cut from transcript)

if this cat spraying this sounded
what was his inspiration

what where was what
was he listening to

cuz if this cat
turns you on so much
he must have listened to a cat to turn in

and then so you find out who
that is and then and then you find the
cat the man who turned the man on

So yep, they should be influences, just as they were influenced. The greats standing on the shoulders of those before... greats upon greats begetting more greats. Just as it'happens to cars, to boats, to planes, to science, and so on. With the most influential not being the most popular or latest greatest to be mimicked.... but back somewhere before to whomever influenced the most influencer's.

You have convinced me Kafka. I stand corrected. I have always been a bigger Beatles fan than Stones fan anyway

The stones were one of the top bands in the 60's and 70's but they are irrelevant and sound overall terrible in concert these days...last good album was some girls...

That’s because they are about 200 years old in rock star years. After what Keith Richards has done to himself over the years, I think he may be immortal.

Probably not, but I definitely prefer them over most bands from that era, including the Beatles
