I didn't realize these guys were from NOLA . Definitely got that New Orleans Funk . I can here Robbie Robinson , Somewhere down that lazy river , on Wish I new You . They do a good job on Robert Palmer's Sneaking Sally also .

Seen em 4 times. Always had fun. Saw em at counterpoint with about 12 other people at noon a couple years ago

This album was one of my favorites from 2015. It's solid, and seeing them live is definitely worth it.

All I know is I see people here posting that one picture of him and generally complaining about his stage presence? idk. I dig his voice, love the songs and have really enjoyed their shows. Give them another (or first) chance.

It's cool to hate a local band once they start to get national recognition apparently. I guess I can see how Shaw may come off as a douche but so do most great lead singers. Did Shaw frick your girl or something?

Seriously, what is the hate for Shaw? He is the most hated musician of all time according to the Music Board. I mean I'm not trying to hang out with the guy but does jumping around on stage too much really make a (good) band unlistenable to you people?

The band has talent in it, but the lead singer is a tool. That about sums it up.
I personally like some of their songs and don't think they deserve as much hate as they get. I'm actually glad they are getting some popularity, even with Shaw being a bit of a douche

I've never met him or anything, but the two or three times I've see the Revivalist, I didn't think "man, that singer is a douche" or anything close to that... He seemed like he was enjoying the concert, his voice sounded fine and I enjoyed the band's -- including his -- performance. They were on time, played a full set and interacted with the crowd.
Give 'em another chance maybe?

The lead singer has gone out of his way off the stage to confront people who are critical of his band and he comes off as a poser. I think he even posted on the music board at one point acting like a huge fagt. Some of the older posters can maybe confirm that.
