I didn't say I don't consider it punk. Frankly, most proto-punk is talentless trash, so I much prefer the post-punk bands that actually had talented musicians as players.

you're own words were "It's considered post-punk/post-hardcore"

if you just said the name of the song and left it at that, I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.. but you are basically contradicting yourself

I would say by sound. I was thinking along the lines of “traditional” punk from ‘75-80 (Clash, Ramones, Pistols, Buzzcocks) but it is Punk so however anyone chooses to define is fine.

Got it.

Then mine would be from The Ramones even though my favorite album of theirs is hardly punk sounding, if that's a thing.
