Really because they thrived live and were as good or better of an improvisational jam band as The Dead or Phish, or whoever you want to put against them. Plus, every bit as talented as Cream.

I would liked to have seen Jerry Lee Lewis in the 1950's, Nirvana and Alice in Chains in the early 90's, Sabbath in the 70's,

acid bath...early 90's Pantera, Metallica with Cliff Burton, id see tons of shows really.
