Looks like the same lineup as fiya fest. Or close to it.

Interesting. That may change things. The booze/crawfish was part of the allure to me.

Just looked it up and crawfish is still part of admission, just not booze.

Damn.

That might put Royal Family Ball over the top. Pretty sure my friends will still want to do Fiya Fest though so I don't know.

I'll spend a shite load of money on booze since it is all day.

yep, I'm happy with my Royal Family Ball decision

also bugs me that they do fiyafest under the guise its all for the roots of music when its not. They are damn sure making coin off this.

Seems to me like you have beef with Fiyawerx. I don't know them or anything so I don't care. It is fricked up if they misled people about charity though. I honestly am just going to have a funky good time.

What other late shows do you plan on catching?

i'm not to sure about this. i know they came out of their own pocket 2 years ago to increase the donation to the roots of music.

So far, I have
Wed - Eric McFadden @ Wed in Square/not sure on later
Thurs - Royal Family Ball
Fri - Robert Walters/Karl D at Publiq
Sat - Dead Feat at Republic

not sure on late nights or Sun but pretty happy with the above.

Re fiya fest, he also said last year 'to buy tix now, we are almost sold out' and when questioned early this year on the donation he said they sold less than 2000 tix (which is way below capacity). He lied on the front end or the back. He also wouldn't say how much they gave. If you are going to do a charity show, you need to be transparent imo. That seems reasonable.

yea I had to stop buying 2nd Sun night tix. It made the ride home on Monday so brutal. haha

One year, we made it Biloxi and had to crash in a hotel. That's less than an hour.
