Dicks was pretty fricking fun this past run. I think Ill end up doing Alpharetta and Denver. Have good friends in both so no $ for lodging plus ATL is driveable.
Have had some epic times at both venues.

Cubes coming March 25
NIOLA.com confirms that the cubes will be released on March 25.
For you new folks, the "cubes" are the detailed stage schedules, including set times. It's a day of joy, as you can start planning in detail what each day might look like, but also a day of sorrow, as you realize the inevitable conflicts when two - or more - of your top picks are playing at the same time at opposite ends of the grounds.
The article also recaps some clues from earlier announcements...
During an interview pegged to the talent announcement in January, Davis offered hints about what the schedule would look like. He said that the Radiators, staging one of their periodic reunions at Jazz Fest, would not occupy their old Gentilly Stage closing slot on the final Sunday. Instead, the Radiators would perform in the penultimate slot on May 5, just before Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty.
Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and Orleans Avenue, the most successful breakout act from New Orleans in many years, will once again close out the Acura Stage on the final Sunday. Andrews and company first took over the now-defunct Neville Brothers' spot in 2013.
Preceding Orleans Avenue will be Arcade Fire - by the numbers, a much "bigger," international band. But by tradition, a homegrown act is generally the festival's final act on its biggest stage.
Also this year, the Fais Do-So Stage will continue to vary its diet of Cajun and zydeco bands with a variety of national Americana acts, including Alejandro Escovedo, The Head and the Heart and Robert Earl Keen.
And some speculation...
On some days, it's easy to predict where and when marquee acts will appear. On the first Saturday, April 26, Phish will likely close the Acura Stage, Robert Plant will headline Gentilly and Robin Thicke will be the Congo Square finale. On Sunday, April 27, Acura, Gentilly and Congo will feature Eric Clapton, Vampire Weekend and Charlie Wilson, respectively, in their final slots.
But on other days, the picture isn't as clear. On the second Friday, May 2, will Christina Aguilera be the Acura closer? If so, will the Alabama Shakes close Gentilly, while Chaka Khan shuts down Congo Square?
The Rads not closing out Gentilly is a shitty call.

I wonder if this holds true. Who would play before Phish on Acura? Anders would be great but I can just as easily see him opening for Plant.

I talked to the Dave Pomerlau at MoMs Ball. He doesn't even know when Raw Oyster Cult will play, but he was getting fired up at the idea of opening for Phish. He is just as excited to see Phish.

I like Pretty lights and really like his full band he is touring with now.

Don't know anything about a full band, but that is certainly more intriguing than the last few times I saw him.
One was before he even had any lights.

Pretty lights w full band
Better shot of full band with horns
Pretty Lights: Much of 'A Color Map of the Sun' was recorded at Piety Street Recording in the Bywater w/local musicians and vocalists, so this is a long overdue and very special evening for me and those involved. We're going to rock this party proper while paying homage to a city and musicians with so much heart soul and flavor. **See some amazing NOLA talent in the studio with me in the 'Making of ACMOTS' mini doc: LINK

Dude, PL at Red Rocks was by far the most magical insane musical moment of my life. When the rain started coming down during Finally Moving, I cannot explain what it was like. The storm built with the track, it just barely started coming down like 30 sec before he started the jam, and by the time it was in full swing, you know, when all 10,000 of us were dancing and singing the chorus in unison, the skies were releasing like a monsoon. Completely soaked & drenched in about 2 minutes. The raindrops falling thru the lights & lasers!!! OH MY GOD. It was like being completely surrounded by interactive green sparkle burst’s wherever you looked, interactive because as you saw all of the millions of sparkles, your face & body was being hit at the same time, so it was almost like you could FEEL the lasers… It was completely insane. You should have seen the look on Derek’s face for a few moments, haha he was giddy as hell, I can only imagine what he was feeling. All the people there together enjoying the moment as one in a gigantic swirling pool of wet & wild emotions contained within the rocks, I CANNOT EXPLAIN IT… The feelings we all shared during that moment was unexplainable and I am pretty much forever hooked when it comes to Pretty Lights live shows, and I think I’m going to be following this shite around for A LONG TIME HOMIE!!!!

Dude. I was there too man. While I feel you there, I personally like his 2/10/13 version a little better... but then again 7/8/13 might be my all time favorite. Can't forget about 2/12/11 though. Holy shite, he just went off there. Can't wait for this show man. Phish followed by Pretty Lights. Only in NOLA baby!
