You could say that about every single food you eat in this city. That's a dumb statement, and there are a few restaurants that have special foods they only cook for Jazzfest. Plus it's an excuse to power glutton the insanely unhealthy stuff you cant eat everyday unless you want to blow up like Violet Beauregarde. But i have to disagree with Heady, the food is not cheap.

Oh by no means was I saying the food wasn't good. The food is great. It's just financially stupid to sit there is live off of festival food and drinks for an entire day.

Are you trying to argue that Cleveland has a better food scene than New Orleans?

How can you back that up?

I am sure that Cleveland has some fine restaurants. To argue that the quantity of high quality food available is on the same level as one of the premier food cities in the country is misguided at best.

The drinks actually are affordable especially for festival prices.

And while I agree its stupid to spend all that money on food in some ways, it's also one of the few times you have the excuse to practice what i like to call "power glutton". Just gorge on some of the best foods the city has to offer in one weekend in one place.

Depends on what you get.

A triple plate and a softshell crab poboy for lunch and a cochon poboy for dinner will run you pretty high and thats if you dont snack on little things like fried gator or crawfish sausage or boudin during the day.

It's not cheap Heady. And it is affordable for some people, but you have to admit it's pretty expensive to chow down all day at Jazzfest.
