awesome live performance

Heard this song on pandora for the first time a couple days ago, and I can't stop playing it.

quote:

"Heartbeats" is the first single from The Knife's 2003 album Deep Cuts, released in Sweden on 27 December 2002 and re-released on 4 October 2004.

The song was listed at #15 on Pitchfork Media's top 500 songs of the 2000s and at #87 on Rolling Stone's top 100 songs of the 2000s. In October 2011, NME placed it at number 95 on its list "150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years" LINK

Has a 1980's feel, but still a modern sound. Does anyone have suggestions for other songs/artists that sound similar? I just love the style. I've sampled a few other The Knife songs, but so far none of them come close to this song.

Better version

Awesome, hadn't heard that cover yet. I like it, but I think I prefer the original right now. The Knife singer's voice is just other-worldly.

The Ellie Goulding cover is pretty nice as well, although a much softer version. Love her voice.

Yeah, I don't expect everyone to like the Goulding version.

I like them all. Just a really good song and each artist's take does it justice.

I had heard silent shout; didn't do it for me. I like Marble House and the other one is alright, but they just don't compare to Heartbeats IMO. I mean Heartbeats is hard to compare to, though, literally one of my favorite songs ever now.

Fever Ray

she had help with other producers on the album but it is her solo project.
