Some great records on this list that I haven't listened to in years--I'll have to go digging in the vault

And Shabooh Shoobah is a great record that seems to get put on back burner status due to the popularity of INXSs follow ups, including Kick.

Nothing says "definitive" like not being able to make a choice after being only three albums into the fricking list.

Somewhere there's a dilettante music fan who's a little too much into the Church this week, who is wetting his little pantaloons that other dilettante music fans are falling for his worthless, tossed off rankings.

This is better than Purple Rain, Sign 'O' The Times, and 1999?

Any 80s album list that doesn't have The Queen is Dead by The Smiths or anything by New Order is just an awful list.

Says the guy who needs Cialis to jerk off. That thread beckons you...not this one.

And who the hell are you to label someone as a dilettante? I have listened to the Church for damn near 30 years. I like to think I am pretty extensive about music. That's my list. Let's see yours.

never cared for them. I never understood what I was missing. I know so many people who love them, but them and Radiohead (Post "The Bends") are two sounds that I never got.

New Order

Love them and they would crack my top 30. Still, I liked Joy Division's stuff better.

Wow, I'm with you on Radiohead, but The Smiths are a top ten all time band for me. Now, if I don't like a song from them, I really don't like it, and that includes some of the favorites posted here in Smiths threads. OTOH, my top 6/7 Smith songs are among my favorite songs ever.

Well, congrats. The Smiths appreciate you. I have tried and it's not like First Wave on Sirius doesn't play them all of the time. I love the sound that Johnny M makes. I just cannot stand Morrissey's voice and I never will. I mean yeah, sure...I like "How Soon is Now" and who does not...but I have yet to find another.

Okay, hold on a minute. This is your personal favorites? Now it makes a little more sense. I have no idea what was meant by "AP". I thought this was some kind of publication's list; first thing that came to mind was Alternative Press but that doesn't add up and there's no link.

I thought I was commenting on yet another list that some collective entity came up with to foist their personal preferences upon people as some kind of end-all documentation. I have a personal peeve about things like that.

Sorry, didn't realize it was just your list. You maybe could make that clearer next time.

(BTW, I'm flattered that you thought to bring my penis into the discussion. Keep it highbrow, baw.)

Was a joke.

I actually feel bad like you. I thought you were referring to me.

Yeah, this is just me. I did the whole AP Top 25 to jokingly enforce to everyone that my list is official.

Stay away from Cialis. That's a bad headache.
