I've been reading this board for a while now, and noticed that they are almost never mentioned (searched to make sure I didn't miss anything, only thing recent was Houston Free Press thread). I found this somewhat odd as they are very big in the UK and have a pretty strong US following.

So, I wanted to know what your opinions of them are as I've seen some great tastes in music on this board and am curious.

If you would like some examples of their work:

Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? This is their latest single.

Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent Perhaps their most famous song

Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor An earlier track that is probably as famous as Fluorescent Adolescent

Arctic Monkeys - Crying Lightning Song in their 3rd album which Josh Homme produced.

If you would like some more examples, feel free to ask.

Arctic Monkeys are great live. New Orleans House of Blues 2007 and 2009 rocked, especially the 07 show.

Arctic Monkeys are damn good. They have evolved style wise but still keep it fresh and unique. Their album, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not", is one of the best rock albums in the last 10 years!

Don't be a jackass. They weren't even a band then.

Definitely. And Favourite Worst Nightmare is not far behind at all.

That's great to hear. I acquired a ticket for their HoB Dallas gig at the end of May.

But they were a band then. Demos were all over the net at that time.

Isn't their singer also the guy who fronts Shaolin Death Squad? I have been wanting to hear AM, but SDS are one of my favorites over the past few years...
